How you and I work together

You may have made the first step in the very important process of achieving your financial objectives and goals.

I will strive to guide you to strategies that make sense and bring confidence to your personal, family and business goals.

How does this occur? Together! We will build a relationship that centers around mutual trust and understanding, since there is not a "one-size-fits-all" plan. When working to formulate a sound financial strategy, I believe in taking a long-term view. You will appreciate my integrity, experience and hands-on approach, combined with products and services through AXA's vast resources that can help you plan for - and build - your financial future. When it's time to implement your strategy, we'll work together to review your options and select a combination of products and services that make sense and suit your needs. From time to time, I'll check in to make sure you're still on track and sticking to your strategy.

Through my team-based approach, typical products used to address personal, family and business planning needs include:

  • Internet access to accounts

  • Financial Needs-Analysis

  • Retirement accumulation and income

  • Brokerage service with checking, debit card, money market, mutual funds, stocks, bonds and CD's

  • Advisory and managed brokerage accounts

  • Insurance strategies which include health, life, long-term care, disability, group health and group voluntary plans

  • Variety of business retirement plans

For now, take a look around this site, try out the calculators and read some articles of interest. Ultimately, I look forward to the occasion we sit down face to face and begin a long-term relationship. You can contact me by e-mail:  gary.willson@axa-advisors.com or by telephone at 817-347-4030.

Getting to know you

To begin the process of building a long-term relationship, I offer you some personal information about this native Texan who grew up in Lake Jackson, a Gulf Coast community 50 miles southwest of Houston. I received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall and a Masters degree in Education from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth.

I am a happily married father of two. Andrea Wilkes, of Arlington, became my wife in 1989. Andrea, a Fort Worth native and graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, is a Kindergarten teacher at Luella Merrett Elementary. We have two boys: one is a student at Baylor University and the other is a student at R. L. Paschal High School.

Closing in on 20 years (counting college and seminary) in local church work as a youth minister, it was time for a career change. Most recently I served for nearly six years at Broadway Baptist Church in Fort Worth.

My experience in financial, personnel, administrative duties and other matters of high confidentiality, combined with the joy of working with and being of service to people, have provided the foundation for serving as a Financial Consultant with AXA Advisors, LLC since February 2000.

I love spending time with my family. We enjoy most water sports and activities, travel and snow skiing. We are very active members of Broadway Baptist Church where I serve as a Deacon, local school activities and our children's sports and academic activities.

I look forward to hearing your story.
